Terms of Service

The agreement governing your use of the Bridge Ecosystem platform.

Version 1.0Effective 7 September 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

Bridge Ecosystem ("Bridge", "we", "us") operates a marketplace connecting creators with sponsors who fund bounties, gigs and hackathons. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Bridge and govern your access to the platform at bridgeecosystem.xyz and all related services.

By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you are using Bridge on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the security of the third-party account (Google, X, LinkedIn, Discord, Facebook) you use to sign in.

One person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to enter the same bounty more than once, to manipulate rewards, or to evade a suspension is prohibited and may result in permanent removal and forfeiture of unpaid rewards.

You must not misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person or organisation, or submit work that is not yours.

3. Bounties

Sponsors define the scope, reward, deadline and evaluation criteria of a bounty. Bridge is not the author of those terms and does not guarantee that any submission will win or be rewarded.

Bridge operates the escrow and payout mechanism but is not a party to the underlying engagement between a sponsor and a creator. Disputes about the quality or acceptance of work are, in the first instance, between those parties.

Bridge may remove a bounty or a submission that breaches these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of a third party.

4. Rewards, fees and payment

Rewards are denominated and paid in cNGN or another token specified on the bounty, to the wallet held in your Bridge account.

Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once a payout is broadcast, Bridge cannot recall, reverse or refund it.

You are solely responsible for any tax arising from rewards you receive. Bridge does not withhold or remit tax on your behalf and provides no tax advice.

Bridge may charge platform or listing fees, which are disclosed before you incur them.

5. Prohibited conduct

Submitting work you did not create, or that infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights.

Fraud, artificial engagement, bought metrics, bot traffic, or any manipulation of bounty outcomes.

Harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit material, or content that is unlawful in Nigeria or in your jurisdiction.

Attempting to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to access, or interfering with the operation of the platform.

Using Bridge to launder funds, evade sanctions, or finance unlawful activity.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you create. Submitting work to a bounty grants a licence over that work as described in the Creator Submission Agreement, which forms part of these Terms.

You grant Bridge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your submissions and profile content for the purpose of operating, securing and promoting the platform. This licence ends when you delete the content, except where it must be retained for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.

7. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. Bridge may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, that presents a legal or security risk, or where required by law.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before it, including payout obligations for work already accepted and licences already granted.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". Bridge does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any bounty will be funded, judged fairly or paid by a sponsor.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bridge is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from blockchain network failure, wallet compromise, third-party platform outage, or the acts or omissions of another user.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Bridge’s total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Bridge in the three months before the claim, or NGN 100,000.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Bridge against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your infringement of a third party’s rights.

10. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified in-app and require you to accept the new version before continuing to use the affected features. The version you accepted is recorded against your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
